the arrangement is impressive
albeit petit
sprigs of parsley
neatly placed in a circle
around a handful of beef
barely enough to feed a dwarf
let alone Marie Antoinette
even without her head
and to think
some chefs go to school for years
to fill this tiny order
trusting though
the pay is good
whether in dollars or francs
when all is said and cooked
I’ll pass on the sophistication
give me a 16-ounce slab
of bleeding rib eye
hanging off the plate
no offence
