more than physical traits passed on
instinct
biological programming
refined as any software
through time and experience
we humans command our computers

to grow and learn
reach for Artificial Intelligence
as our creators did us
the hybrid of a new species
through Intelligent Design
to continue on its own

and so
into the world around us
we move out
carrying the fears
talents of our ancestors
through ascending generations
interact with others
learn and evolve

Deoxyribonucleic acid
always at the heart of our matter
thread-like chains of
nucleotides imprinted
combined with the new
without which
life would not be possible
