Pathetic Fate by Brian Francis
There is a black hole in our vicinity
Drawing away the light
Fragments of code being jettisoned
to its gravitational might
Ties being broken, decades of life
The artistic embryos
developed in creativity’s light
fracture and no one knows
Foundations long, sturdy, and bold
Settle unattended, unseen
Like upon sand once thought to be rock
From a fable reality gleaned
Waiting for that moment when life ends
When everything ceases to be
atoms once bound in words on the page
loosing integrity, finally set free

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 04/29/18 at 11:17 PM Good expression of our universe imploding, yet I read fresh, terrific poems submitted almost every day here. I'll go down happily reading with this ship, how ever long that may take. |
