by Steven Craig

Skies may go black
When the mind crys out to the stars
Not to light the hidden, fallen dream
To deny the urge to sing the sun's return.

And yet it shines for thee.

This is zen-like. It approaches haiku simplicity and depth. I love poems about light and darkness and your poem veritably twinkles. I've read this three times, and I think if I read it more it will reward me with light. Thank you Steven.
