Alcohol

by Nancy Ames

"A boozer
is a loser,
walking on a lake.

If it weren`t for him,
I could almost swim,
excuse me, my mistake."

Author's Note: just a little something I pulled from the bottom of the pile today and thought, "Neat".

Love the off centeredness of this piece, and that seeming disparate and unexpected line at the end which sets off the fuse.
