Words

words

rain

from

my

mouth

like

acid

unretractable droplets

indelibly etched onto hearts of stone

Ah yes, 'words' are 'so much' more than most of us understand! First of all we mostly take for granted that we know their meaning, even more so their 'feeling'. Face they don't even have any idea of their of their 'consequence'. Oh if we did how our poetry would change!! But we go along playing the game that 'our' meaning is the first and only one. Ho, ho, ho, and that's not Santa...

I love the visual. I also love the words, which venture beyond the symbolism and can burn actual holes in whatever they wish, when they wish so to do, depending on mood.
