What’s the difference between hit and read?
aside from one letter
sadly...potentially a universe overlooked
its spiritual energy...wisdom not consumed

It could be bots just checking things out
but they never move randomly
from one galaxy to another
without scooping up adjoining star matter

As the collector...displayer of such bounty
this demi-god has evolved beyond
being ruffled by an equally large display
of human nature...numerology

Whether playful or malignant
still the quantity is what accumulates as relevant
and in the end the thing most accountable
only adding to the strength of the harvester

What’s the true difference
between the originating pair of words?
whether knowingly aware or remiss
stranger...enemy...friend evolves into ally

And thus for them a simple case of hit or miss
