It's the Coolest in the Fall by Thomas K. HuntI see beauty in the trees in the color of the leaves
Autumn is back again just like a long lost friend
It's my favorite time of year
It's the season I hold dear
I love the cooler breeze
My arms in long sleeves
Walking down Riverside Drive
with your best friend by your side
Looking for shoal finders at the Channel Side
Step across the street and say hello to the Johnstons
They make a mean meal I know you'll want some
Stroll down a little farther
Take a rest and watch the St' Lawrence flow
then head over to O'briens where I used to go
In my day I enjoyed it all and still do specially the fall
Ending the night with drunk navigators waiting for last call
It's just cooler in the fall
Now just out of town on the road going down
sits the Clipper on the left hand side
It's worth the walk if you can't get a ride
The food is excellent, the hospitality prime
Then just out of town going another way
Family tradition flows through Natali's C-way
They make you feel like family not just a friend
There's something about Mary, her smile never ends
Take the ride back to town and come down james
Take a left on mary you'll see french creek bay
Stop at alexandria and on that corner you'll see
The house where I became me
Now it's known as the Wood Boat Brewery
Don't get me wrong I love it year round
I love the four seasons in my little hometown
Spring brings the rain and the blossoms bloom
The river's perfect in the month of June
The autumn breezes blow as the winter winds call
The winters are cold with fun for all
It's still the coolest in the fall
I see beauty in the trees in the color of the leaves
Autumn is here again just like a long lost friend
One of life's circles that will never end
It's the coolest thing when autumn comes around again
Don't forget they've got breakfast on the stove
Start your day at the Koffee Kove
They're the perfect breakfast host
You want something to die for
Try their stuffed french toast
