The son uninstalled the air conditioner
With September’s cool already
Sunsetting in

Who knew?

Two weeks later he’d be putting it back
Record breaking heated humidity
For some of us
Kryptonite to Superman

Guess the father upstairs
Heard our complaints about the daily rain
In July and August

Now the Jetstream wouldn’t have anything to do with that?

Tonight the son is rewarded
Father celebrated
With fillet of Steelhead
Sautéed in butter and spices
Deep fryer Beefeaters
Crispy on the outside
Soft within
