My Little Song

by Chris Sorrenti

When my world comes crashing down
It’s the only thing that don’t go wrong
Pick up my guitar
Start to play me a little song
Learned long before yesterday
And before I know it
My troubles are far behind
No I can’t change what will be will be
So I’ll keep singing
My little song

When friends come calling
And I don’t want ‘em to leave
Pull out my guitar
And I start to play
And don’t you know
Soon it isn’t long
We’re all singing along
Some of us at low volume
Others at the top of our lungs
Our little song

So won’t you come join us
Bring your own little song
Take it everywhere you go
And much to your amazement
You’ll find
All it takes is one person to sing
And the rest of the world
Will sing along

I don't know, Chris, I'm pretty damn happy with it. Maybe some spit and polish and a chorus; but what is there is good by any measure. Crazy assed musicians ain't ever happy with their work until it is played and they see others swaying to their music. Thank for this one --bf
