A doorway will soon be open
though in fact always has
it’s simply been waiting
for you to catch up
as everything in your life
preordained

And what waits
on the other side of that passage?
why the undiscovered country
of course
follow the dots
says the man with the megaphone
and see what the future will bring
good or bad
in-between

But in the end
a year’s no different than anything else
what you will make of it
what truly counts
much ado or nothing at all
a destiny that can’t be escaped
