No False Flags

by Matthew Zangen

Try to embrace some innocent moments.
Paint with foreign colors.
We can all in one day be unspoken,
unlearning undocumented tongues,
protecting rights and wrongs left to fight
all meaning of home.
Wave your rights like a fistful of demands,
swinging for every Sunday
to land one just foot forward
and scribble all truth in written laughter
on the lips of our children,
rapping on the door of our lord,
begging pardon for our accents.

Fresh and powerful...a fine piece of work Matthew. Glad I had a chance to read it!
