Pages Turned by Matt ForgetPages turned
Where the sun shines
Shadows fall
I sit beyond words
Beyond emotion
Trickling, catastrophic pulses
Haunting the silent emptiness
Laying around me
I section those
The words written
The emblems received
To which I bare no strength
For which strength has no meaning
Absent yet full
Tired yet awakened
Given the moment to open my eyes
It is beyond love
I shall overcome
Create anew
Fortify the existence of internal power
Fashioned by the scarves of warmth
To be one from within
Beyond another
Who's chapter has been written
A tired moment
Leading to unity
Struggle, balance, heal
Tho without pain comes fear
Drowning the gold before you
To be found ahead
Stronger beyond
Bound to the heart forever
Sterilize once more
Taking the pen to paper
Remember and forgive
Destiny awaits me
For each one has a future
Unseen, unspoken
For the words to be written

Posted by George Hoerner on 06/04/17 at 03:01 AM Well done, nicely written! The pages yet turned, those yet to be written, or even thought of, the future. Yes, in reality the unknown at least partially is where we have at least some control. At least we can try if we think about and want to. The problem is few of us really think in those terms. Hope things work out as you would like them to. |
