This is a side you’ve never seen

I like to walk in parking lots
from childhood a game brought up
I’ve tried to quit but I can’t stop

This is the side that’s all my own

in the corner of eye, cars lined up
the game works better when it’s dark
people that I know in one of them

This is a side I’ve never shown

they see me walking
but don’t call out
talking instead of my accomplishments

This is the side that keeps me going

I never look directly at the cars
the game works better when by myself
it won’t end until I’ve stopped

This is a side you’ve finally seen
and now because

This is the side that’s no longer me
