NOSE

by Nancy Ames

So I phoned my Mum
this aft and she said,
"Honey, you know,
I just had this tiny
split-second perfect
thing happen on TV
just now flipping past
a bunch of channels,
I suddenly see a huge
pig-face close-up like
a big pink quivering
and snorting snout
right up against the
camera, and a voice,
a deep manly voice,
says, "NOSE!" and I
laughed and laughed.
I laughed so hard! So
Honey, honestly now,
do you think I could
be losing it?"

She's just fine I do that all the time when they let me out of my cage to watch TV! Nice write!

The tight structure to this is perfect - adds some tension to the read as I find myself hurrying to get to the end. We need more "NOSE!" moments right now. Thanks for this one.

*Chuckling* I love the random juxtapositions of channel-hopping. I've never had one this good though. And no. She's not losing it.
