I'm Stoned

by Thomas K. Hunt

I'm stoned
I'm all smoked up
I've been toking on some weed that I grew from a seed
Now I can't stop rhyming
I can't stop rhyming
I'm stoned
Yes indeed

I'm stoned
I just blew a bone with my own homegrown
Once again, I'm stoned
That's when the juices start to flow
Laying down rhymes all in a row
I love to get really high
Search for rhymes up in the sky

I'm stoned
I've been hitting the pipe
I have every right
It's not a school night
Once again, I'm stoned
I'm stoned tonight

I just smoked a dove-tail joint
like the one Lennon sang about
I thought I heard someone sing
Smoke one more, and you'll grow wings

I'm stoned
I used to do this all the time
Now when I get stoned
It plays more with my mind
When I get stoned, I rhyme all the time

I'm stoned
I'm all smoked up
I've been toking on some weed that I grew from a pup
Now I can't stop rhyming
I can't stop rhyming
I can't shut up

I've read this back one hundred times
and every time I found another rhyme
They're easy to find when I'm flying high
I'm really stoned, and I know why

I'm lost in the humor just having fun
I'll light up one more when this one's done
It's so easy for me
I don't have to try
When I get stoned, and the rhymes just fly

There, I've said it
Yes, I smoke pot Mrs Hunt
So does everyone else, for need, and fun
I don't smoke pot like I use to smoke pot
Not as much as when I was young
Back then, I smoked a lot

I've got thousand's of rhymes all laid out in rows
Remember when I said it gets the juices to flow
Release that shotgun, just let it go
One hit of this and then you'll know
This is like all the other times
Once again, I'm stoned and laying down rhymes

I'm stoned
There's no harm
I've been told when I'm stoned; I'm quite the charm
There's no reason for me to lie
I just saw Lucy in the sky

It all comes together in a certain flow
Maybe if you heard this, you'd really know
Wow, where'd that one come from
I can see now I'm far from done

It does the trick when I flick my bic
It's time to get stoned again
After all, we're lifelong friends
You always made me feel alive
I'll rate you a six if the last number's five
I have no reason ever to let you go
I'm stoned, and I thought you should know

I'm stoned
Not that you should care
I'm here, and you're over there
Now, just like all the other times
I'm stoned and laying down rhymes

I admit I've never been stoned so it's fun and intriguing to read about it. Lively rhyming here, humorous flow. Thanks!
