Once more we find ourselves
Alone...when we shouldn't be
Father and son together
In hours usually reserved for...better things
But today
The boss can eat 'his' fingernails
And the teachers can suck chalk!
It won't hurt them...for one day

The 8 hour flu has set in
Extremely contagious!
Stay indoors says Dr. Dad
Get plenty of leisure
No housework or heavy thinking
Lest the illness become...extended

Not the kind to disobey doctor's orders
We nurture each other back to health
With ball cards and a serious Lego construction
Interrupted only by much needed siesta
