Welcome To Grenada by Chris Sorrenti
Won’t you come to Grenada?
Spend your holidays here!
We’ve got plenty of Cuban soldiers
To make you feel welcome
We’re sure you’ll like the sound of their AK-47s
Firing beneath that friendly Caribbean sun
And yes
We have sandy beaches
And tall palm trees
With Soviet advisers hiding between them
Just pay no attention
To those surface-to-air missiles
Where the Holiday Inn used to be
Yes welcome to Grenada!
Where we march in unison now
Against the imperialistic United States
All we ask is to control your mind
Behave yourself
And you can have a good time
We might even let you dance and sing
Won’t you come to Grenada?
Under entirely new management!
Now we photograph all the tourists
As they step off the plane
Just be in by eight
And watch where you point your cameras
Let us know if you have any complaints
We’ll see what can be done about you
