Soft Landings

by V. Blake

it's almost like there's an economy there:
a give-and-take from the high to the nerve.
her laughter has decimals and
none of these maps look familiar.
just hold your breath,

then say the right thing.

be okay.
start with that.
full upright position and smile
even if it's uncomfortable.
coasting on decades of brilliance
and all the best wishes in the world,

so get your hopes up.

there are wonders outside,
and they're yours if you want them.
make yourself remember:
if this is landing,

it isn't falling.

An optimistic approach. Why not go for it?! Thanks for this.
