The Lock
Has Unlocked
Again

It’s great
but odd
to think
to know
the lock
has unlocked
again
the
possibilities
seemingly
endless
leaving me
downright
giddy

And to recall
how the gangs
of the day
advised us
to go our
separate ways
what a laugh
to see their
heads spin
in light of
such a gutful
action

Yes
it’s great
but odd
to think
to know
that
the lock
has unlocked
again
just to
see her smile
hear her laugh
know that
we’re still friends
