before i say this
i want to apologize ahead of time
because this is a sensitive subject
that may make some people uncomfortable
i may be biased because i have done the research
or maybe i am too ignorant, having not done enough
or the right kind
or lived the wrong kind of life
but i feel that this is a truth
that afflicts most of us
but if you are not affected
i am sincerely sorry for leaving you out
you have a right to be involved
to have an opinion
and before I forget
let me assure you
that i have tried to be as objective
as i can be
in an attempt for greater validity through accuracy
unless you feel i should be more invested
in my own truth
in which case
be sure that
i have endeavored to make only
a personal statement
that eschews any attempt at universality
i am not trying to stereotype or draw broad conclusions
please bear with me
if anyone is dissatisfied at this point
