A few simple words
and the rabbits are on the run
gave this message
to the friend inside me

Feels good to see them lost
with a cockroach loose
in their Tiger tank
no way to cover
those oversized ears

An angel saw me off this morning
taught me to fly again
while drilling my best side
on how to spot the enemy
she said
“You’ll go further on a smile,
they’ll put up a fight,
but only for a little while.”

Don’t get me wrong though
I am on overload
a registered trademark
for something
I’m still looking for
a rabbit in my own right
refusing to run

How easy it is for them
to hear the umpire cry OUT!
when I’d swear on a Bible
he said DOWN!
