Accelerant

by Anita Mac

If you’re looking to hit
rock-bottom,
I will nurture you right into
that Mess.

Show me your ugly side
until I unexpectedly
learn the Lesson
and you’re left to finally
face yourself.

I will never know
what you think of me After that,
but about There seems to be
where Salvation begins.

Cool word...Accelerant. Very personal poem, and yet can be applied to various relationships; reminds me of a period I went through with my son a few years back. Evocative, short but powerful piece of writing.

a beautiful poem of images that play chutes and ladders, kudos, stellar, a phoenix

mm. food for thought. particularly regarding finally facing oneself. i suppose we can only hide behind others for so long.

Adding fuel to the nature/nurture conflict
Salvation by fire is the way to go.
And your titles burn, without fail.
