pancit

by Johanna May

This day you are wearing gray and dark blue
You have a doggie patch on your butt
You love pancit so much
But prefer it with spinach and carrots, not cabbage
You don't know how to control vermicelli yet
After your dinner I pick the crumbs like lint
From your pants one by one and ate them
I want to keep this moment for you my lamb
To be like this until I myself am crumb.

This is so very intimate. I assume mother and child. It is precious.
