Celluloid World

by Chris Sorrenti

Every day I hurry home
After working eight to four
I come in - sit right down
In front of my VCR
Pop in a movie
And open my mind...

Fall into the celluloid world

Tonight I can be Christopher Reeves
Masquerade as the man of steel
Tomorrow I’ll be in hyperdrive
Battling The Empire in a far far away galaxy
Hey! Rock’s on the roll
And it’s ready to go
I’m playing lead guitar for The Police

Every day I hurry home
After working eight to four
I walk in - sit right down
In from of my VCR
Pop in a movie
And open my eyes…

Fall into the celluloid world

No – I don’t ever wanna watch again
No sitcom spaghetti drag
Don’t put the eleven o’clock news
On my screen
Cause it’s always the same bloody jive
Hey! There’s a nut on the loose
Putting Arsenic in Tylenol
I don’t wanna hear about that
If the Russians come and drop The Bomb
Don’t worry – I’ll know about it
Just give a tube
And my VCR
Get me high on Electric Blue

Every day I hurry home
After working eight to four
I come in - sit right down
In front of my VCR
Pop in a movie
And open my mind...

Fall into the celluloid world
