Lament of Common Sense

Words can’t due this parting
Gesture justice
But let me try
Anyway
We’ve been together
For such a long time
And been through it all
And I will say
That I’ve leaned on you
All the way
You’ve gotten me out of terrible binds
And helped me avoid
Some which I might not have survived
Only to
In the end
Say goodbye to you
This is the end
And although I do not know why
We must part
We must and I
Will start a new
In a world without any
Common sense.
