By The End Of The Day

by James Zealy

I desired redemption
I felt pain
I discovered loss
I hoped for forgiveness

My sins tattered
Dreams wasted
With no gain

I smelled White lilies fragrance
From a Hazy visions distance
Salty fresh pretzels conjoined
With Bagels and cream cheese

At conrad Hinkle
I heard uncapped Citrus
From sundrop fizz
I saw Last tomatoes from the vine
And Denton white peaches

I tasted Salt
From a thermal pool
And Falling tree fruit

Author's Note: Some words and images captured during the day. Conrad Hinkle is a small country grocery store. Denton is a town in Nc that has a fruit tree farm.
