Hearts on Cosmic Wings

by Kourosh Taheri-Golvarzi

That we both came of parallel realities
Traversing interstellar roads against pale stars
And making way, so gracing space, until the day
Our thoughts appeared in earthen form, and trivial'ties
In Space-Time dissipate into galactic jars
Of cosmic dust that step aside so meet we may.

As quasars pulse and pulsars quake beneath us while
We lose ourselves agaze into each other's eyes,
Our lips already know of nights and days to come,
Of hands and tongues aggressing with a tingly smile
Against each other's warm, wet flesh and cries
From your delicious lips, our worries fall off numb.

We give our hot, slick, sweaty bodies to the Void,
The Center of the Universe, together like
Impassioned psychonauts, aflame with lust, in love
We find ourselves, and in that lust we've so enjoyed,
We find each other's Selves, thus hand-in-hand we hike
Tow'rd Love's horizon two wings of a single dove.

I know not when we'll meet again, though I can tell
that we're already more than One yet less than Two.
So gave you me your Self, and I my Own as well,
With promise of our union give myself to You.
