along for the ride

by JJ Johnson

well Doc, it's kinda like this
got on the bus
goin nowhere
caught the last one
with no time to spare
figured a random run
would take me somewhere
got to the last stop so i got off at that one
just so happened your office was waiting right there
decided to come in and have a nice little chat
not that your analysis will ever help me
who knows what transpires under my hat?
no psychology can explain my existence to me
when every destination is my destiny
where ever I am is where I happen to be
it just so happens so coincidentally
it's always right there where it all goes so wrong
i could wait there forever, no matter how long
if I walk away, the one I desired will finally come
i'm so tired of this bus stop but got nowhere to go
i just get on the next run so nobody will know
finally, there I was at the end of the line
nobody else's destination so I guess that it's mine

This is terrific! Great flow and pondering about a loop of the mind at a loss. Nice technique adding the Doc to the equation. Those last four lines rock! Thanks!
