Infinitesimal cuts along the way
by Joy Sy
We tell each other stories
spinning tales of our future life
We tell each other ....
It's gonna be alright
We may not know...
but we are slowly saying goodbye
It comes in the tiniest of gestures
in the missed opportunities of connecting
In the smallest of decisions
in the minute action of postponing
for an hour, a day, a week, a month
The inertia of the thought of explaining
all the reasonable reasons why
This is how we'll end
not in the passion of hurt
or explosion of pain
but in the daily grind of today
the infinitesimal cuts along the way

Worthy capture of relationship!

I wonder how many couples live together for live with this sort of relationship. I believe there are many who are no where near a close as they appear to others. Life really is a 'stage' on which they live and many don't even understand that!!
