Vespers

Not at their leisure
They pray by the score
And one more for good measure
But what are they praying for
Who kneel by their bed nightly
And take not their vespers lightly?
Our uneducated guess
Is that they pray no less
Than to shed the nun's habits
And be permitted to run with rabbits
And make hay
And be as fertile as they
And not committed to this barenness
