Tall Tales

by David Maurice

Tarry days there aren't enough
to ring the fire with tales enough
to bring the liars with whales enough
to feed us all

smiling 'round the circle
faces aglow with the glistening
of a iceberg's tip

I'll carry you through the mountain side
I'll carry you up the mountain's hide
I'll carry you to the mountain's climes
and leave the dales and pales behind

Whee! for sure! Loved that first stanza and can handle being fed a tall tale anytime. Thanks, David.
