Every page a struggle
of sorts and spacing
finished in electronic salutation
each digital portrait worth the effort of speaking
Hyper Text Markup Language articulately
where copy and paste – download/upload
become blurred amid tedium
between computers human and man made
at least one no longer has to get his hands dirty
with coding and tags
unless of course he wants to
And what would Michelangelo or Van Gogh
think of this new art form?
would they scoff at its deceptive simplicity?
or rally that classic cry of art for art’s sake
even if done with the aid of a box
full of circuits and wires
Despite setbacks
fortunate most temporary
one can’t deny the end product has
some lasting artificial beauty
but before all connected systems
can read the fine print
only if the monkey sitting at the keyboard
gets the formula down right
