Tequila Amourillo

by Chris Sorrenti

All she had to do was smile
and I was dead in the water
a fish topsy turvy
but I didn't care
howling at the moon

And I ain’t crying wolf!

Always knew
I'd fall again
stir fried once more
to romance's sweet call

Yes
Love is indeed
the conqueror worm
but a tasty one!
soaking in its Tequila bottle
of abstinence
