To The One In The Crowd

he was always standing up
before a crowd
yet this time
he stood up before a crowd of one
that one being love
he looked at love
from his podium and said - Live!
yet love was quite prepared to die
again he said
to the one in the crowd - Live!
but love died
he said Love
you can't die!
besides I didn't say
Simon says
love - no stranger to such logic
said to Simon
man - what do I give a shot what you say?
when its my time
its my time
and it was time
and the moral is
that no matter what game
Simon is playing
no matter what Simon is saying
always be prepared to make other preparations
especially if your name is love
always be prepared
to die
when its your time
no matter that
Simon is barking from his podium
to do otherwise
