Mjolnir

by JJ Johnson

Oh Mjolnir, soar to this open hand
I have learned the lessons taught by All-Father Odin
See my humility and feel my humble nature
Deem me worthy of your miraculous wonders
Allow me the power granted to the god of thunder
Gift me with the strength to lift your infinite weight
That I might also bare the world on these once unworthy shoulders
Impart me with the magic to strike with living lightning
The evil in the hearts and minds of fear-mongering hateful souls
To level mountains of pride piled up to the endless sky
To bring justice to this planet of hypocrites and thieves
To end unnatural death forced upon innocent lives
Who seek peace and nurture love in their finite space
To do these things I will gladly sacrifice myself at Ragnarock
And live eternally among the heroes in the hallways of Valhalla

Quite the heroic piece, JJ. We could use a few heroes right about now.
