Earthly Melody by Jody PrattA susurrus in the trees, conorous,
plays with branches as soft piano keys.
This gamut of leaves and creaking embarks
tenderly, harmonies upon my being.
Trenching within me as if intrinsic;
lucid yet euphoric. Soundly sublime,
the daylight star so subtlely lifted
upon the horizon of pokey pine.
Folding time, the Sun has shyly shifted.
Ringing chime made colored sky of liquid. 02/04/2015 Posted on 02/04/2015 Copyright © 2024 Jody Pratt

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/07/15 at 03:51 PM This is a pleasure to read aloud, so many delicious words. Clever use of the word "embarks" when speaking of the trees, and who wouldn't smile at a "pokey pine". The world sings here and I admire the shine of your sun. Thanks for this. |
