100 year old desk

by Artur Desruisseaux

This desk has seen me sit in front of it for many years

drunk

stoned

mad

depressed

and once or twice

crying like a little bitch.

This desk has seen me sit in front of it for many years

It once had a nice glass top that I broke

I burned it with cigarettes

set drinks on it

because let's face it

obviously, and most certainly, I don't respect wood!

My desk would hate me if I were that desk

This year I decided to get rid of everything I own

January 4th, 2015

all my clothes

the things I don't need like

my hair

my job

my sanity

my life

Come get them!

I will set them on the fucking curb tomorrow

You can have it all

just don't bring them back

I can't handle it anymore.

something about how not to fix a temporary problem with a permanent solution. sage advice posted by some teenage girl on her twitter page a few months after she murdered another teenage girl out of jealousy. it is really a horrible thing when the glass top is broken. most people who have never gone through that aren't smart enough to understand.

life is tenacious like a tide. no matter how much you put it to the curb it always manages to find its way back, unlike love which is quite another story. love once lost, it is a Paradise Lost forever.
