What Would Happen? by Alison McKenzieYou do realize, don't you,
That when solidification of
Lava flowing into Love's ocean
Causes new lands to form,
Disentanglement is rendered to
A scientific impossibility?
So what would happen
If you got into your car
To tear down this wall of miles
That's kept us in separate worlds,
And we become an inextricable
Force of nature,
The way “back” falling away
Like so much illusion
In a dream where
Every yesterday
Dissolves into the abyss
Of all that will never reappear?

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 12/31/14 at 10:09 PM Ha! Wow! I'll have to invent some new adjectives to describe the splendor of this poem. Suffice to say, wonderful read, Ali...you never fail to amaze me. |
