Inland Light House

by Kristina Woodhill

After we lay down our day
Fog took many lovers,
Crept in from its cave of gray,
Walled, we hugged our covers

Must have been a long wild night
From the looks of things,
Every branch electric white
Aglow from last night's fling

Oh! I just adore the language of this, the brush strokes that have created such a vivid image between the fog and frost. You. You angel.

A short but wonderful write lady. I love it.

I feel such a significance for the inland lighthouse, as titled. I am sure of such sanctuary.

Crisp clear images. For me speaks of the unusual cold we have been having.

This is wonderful! All of the elements of good poetry, yet feels effortless.
