untitled i

by Gail Wolper

while breathing through one eye
his karma brought him trouble
it was time to clean it
and breathe other air
~
travel far and then back
there are so many places to bring oneself
the pain is far away it is a dot
suffering always there
it never happened
~
we are all living in
the hospital of imagination
when he opens his eye
think of all the good things he will see

"the hospital of imagination" is such a great line.
