In A Perfect World by Chris Sorrenti
people...
wouldn’t leave used tissues in shopping carts
stick gum to bus or subway seats
wouldn’t simply walk on by without saying thank-you
when someone holds a door open for them
wouldn’t wash left over food down the office kitchenette sink
leaving others to unclog the drain
wouldn’t dial wrong numbers
then hang up without apologizing
wouldn’t run yellow lights
when another motorist has been waiting to turn left
wouldn’t...
but seeing as we don't live in a perfect world
it's up to all of us
to make it as close to perfect as we can
