A Psalm of Praise

by Quentin S Clingerman

My heart cries out in praise
To the God of Creation
His handiwork throughout the universe
Exemplified in a gorgeous lily
On a single stalk, huge, orchid in color
Lifting its bloom in honor of its Creator

My heart cries out in praise
To to the God of Redemption
Whose love is so strong
He sent His Son, Jesus, to die
The sins of the world to make atonement
My sins washed away by His blood

My heart cries out in praise
To God, the Holy Spirit
Who makes Jesus real in our lives
Gives guidance and counsel
Empowers for service
To share the Gospel to others

God is so good I can do no other
Than praise Him in all that I do

I too have been awestruck at the genius and artistry of God through such things as lilies or other flowers. Sometimes we can overlook how majestically He displays His handiwork in simple things as well as the complex. I'm sure He is pleased you took the time to remember Him. Thanks for sharing.

As we all should my friend. Eloquently spoken.
