In a Wash of the Tides by Kourosh Taheri-GolvarziO salten waves, so synthesizing life,
O Mother All-Majestic, granting us
This chance to know Ye, perilous and rife
With tersity, at once so glorious
And terrifying that respect for Ye
We come obliged to bear, to pay our Rent
In this grand evolutionary tree,
Polluted by our acts indeferent.
The plastic, rubbish disrespect we've thrown
Into the depths of your eternal tides
Can only come to haunt us as You own
Us and can kill us like a seagull glides.
And so, we weave our living tapestry
Of fear and love to Ye, O Mother, Ye. 07/07/2014 Author's Note: Written on Corfu Island, Greece.
