fly for me

by Maria Francesca

we lay side by side
in the dark
after the bright light
and we drift down -
back down to the world,
we drift down -
your fingers are still curled around mine
and I feel fine.

we walk side by side
through the dark
and through the bright light
and we fall down -
down upon the grass,
we fall down,
and watch the clouds go past in the sky
and I feel high

and you say:
fly for me, baby,
and when you do,
take me with you.

we dance side by side
in the dark - it's after midnight
and we go 'round -
spinning round the house,
we go 'round,
and when you kiss my mouth I die,
Oh, I die.

and I say:
fly for me, baby,
and when you do,
take me with you.

An excellent flight of fancy to be sure. Really like the lyricism of this piece.
