On the Great Stage of Life by Chris Sorrenti
A well known playwright once wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” And on that stage, each of us has an important role to play...
Some actors cast as supporting, while others, lead; the script writer assigning only
what we can handle at any given time. And depending on circumstances...talents, lead can become supportive, supporting switching to lead.
Talent coming in various forms. It could be creativity and/or performance in one or more fields, or simply to bring comfort to others, allowing them to regain their smile…laugh off a bad day…move on to greater things.
Intelligence can be found in either of two forms: memory…facts, figures, faces…quickly recalled, multiple languages easily acquired. Or IQ…problem solving, managing projects and programs…other players. Some of us gifted enough to have a little bit of both.
The only other certainty…when the curtain closes for each of us at that fateful point in the script, what we’ve done in those roles, the experiences gained from that foray in the spotlight, is what we will take with us onto the great stage beyond.
