Sullen Silent Night by Sam RobertsAnd so my thoughts dwindle astray
Yet another sore night, gone before it came.
Smoking in a silence of the floating. Black.
Barricades moods away.
Away in the gusty shadow, looming the far fetched sorrow,
For I only come alive,
In the solitude. Sullen. Light.

[I admire the way you use LESS words that are carefully CHOSEN and ARRANGED and creates a powerful connection to the mood in the moment evoked in the writing...excellently unique] |

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 05/01/14 at 05:52 PM Glad I finally caught up with this one, Sam. I couldn't agree more with Clara Mae's comments. I really like the metaphysical capture of darkness and solitude here, and yet ending with the positive word, 'light.' |
