Not Falling

by Dan Linn

Gazing at you,
scenery fell away,
exposing the edge of the world,

Mist roiled and clouds boiled,
Serpents, sky, space, and sea,
appear behind your eyes,

I took your hand,
leaned to you,
in a rush of wind and gravity,
accelerated breathless.

But you were not alarmed,
you smiled, sparkling,
and I realized,
I was not falling,
I was flying.

Nice buildup to a great ending Dan. The power of attraction...love.

Very romantic. Effective use of symbolism.
