Musk

by Leonard M Hawkes

I know you in the fullness
Of the January Moon--
The pale night sky,
The faded Winter stars.

Raw and naked,
Simmering in the salt brine--
My Soul sings out
And you are the answer.

Author's Note: At the hot spring on the north shore of the Great Salt Lake.

this poem resounds soulfully like an answered prayer.

Joy found in raw nature. Sharp images.

Raw honesty, quite difficult to achiece, love it.
