Gentle On My Mind by Chris Sorrenti
I find you there
all the time
gentle on my mind
your smile
a psychedelic flag
telling the butterflies to flutter
FLUTTER
their wings
the things we do together
turning to melted butter
with a wet smack lip
I have your sugar spun image
engraved in my soul
no toll booths between us
your face
an untarnishable mettle
gentle on my mind
you fly
silver lined nimbus cumuli
dare I say too much my love
or POOF
you’ll blow away

Posted by Dorian Black on 01/24/14 at 11:20 PM A blast from the past, that certainly resonated through time well. Beautiful imagery, and daunting message. Well written, friend. |
